Hello Bluebar,
Sandy Island has lost its last palmtrees during Hurricane Ivan.
The island is as always still changing its shape.
There is still the lagoon inside Sandy where you can see plenty small coloured fish if you put your diving goggles below the surface.
The little lagoon is very shallow and you can stand almost everywhere.
The corals around Sandy are damaged on the inside as result of anchors dropped by the yachts, but on other sides the elkhorn corals have started growing again after a mysterious disease killed a lot of elkhorn all over th world.
People from carriacou occasionally plant shrubs on the island which helps keeping the sand together.
