Jouvert is FUN!
For tourists on Carriacou this is a fantastic opportunity to get a taste of Caribbean life.

If you want to be a spectator, you can stand beside the road and watch people having fun.
It is very safe, I saw many tourists, parents with kids and children dancing in the crowd and having fun without any harrasment.
On Carriacou and Grenada there is virtually no crime, pickpocketing or such as is usual on the larger islands like for instance Trinidad.

A big advantage of the nighttime of this event is the temperature. While carnival during the day can be very hot, J'Ouvert is the perfect temperature for extatic dancing, wining and a few drinks.

I wish I was in jouvet right now ! Far away, but my mind is now in Hillsbourogh and Jouvet which is so much fun, and going on right now !
