I just read about the smelly pond beside the Paradise Inn restaurant.
I noticed the smell as well, and it looked very nasty indeed.
But whats more : on that part of the beach there are many, many crab holes above
the floodline, below the trees and below the rooms of Paradise Inn.
These holes fill with rainwater and make the most ideal mosquito breeding
grounds.
When we stayed in the Inn for two days we couldnt sleep if we did not cover
ourselves with OFF, a sweet smelling mozzie repellent.
Later we moved to Ades dream in Hillsborough where we were not bothered by
insects.
Carriacou was lots of fun then, and we will return to Ades for sure.
