Rumpunch, a few recipes
Standard Rumpunch Recipe
Ingredients:
- one of sour
- two of sweet
- three of strong
- four of weak
1 oz. of sour, 2 oz. sweet, 3 oz. of strong 4 oz.weak;
Make multiple of the above proportions desired.
- SOUR: Lime juice or lemon juice.
- SWEET: Simple syrup made of equal parts sugar and water boiled for 5 mins. Grenadine syrup is nice.
- STRONG: Rum.
- WEAK: Combined water and ice.
- Add a dash angostrua bitters and a dust of nutmeg.
Yield: make 10 oz. of punch or 3 drinks.
Planter's Punch
- Ingredients:
- Juice of 1 Lime
- Juice of 1/2 Lemon
- Juice of 1/2 Orange
- 1 tsp Pineapple Juice
- 2 oz Light Rum
- 1 oz Jamaica Rum
- 2 dash Triple Sec
- 1 dash Grenadine
Method:
Pour first 5 ingredients into collins glass filled with
ice. Stir until glass is frosted. Add Jamaica rum, stir,
and top with Triple Sec and grenadine. Decorate with
slices orange, lemon, pineapple, a cherry, and a sprig
of mint dipped in powdered sugar. Serve with a straw.
Bajan Rum Punch
BAJAN RUM PUNCH
- 4 Crushed Ice
1 oz. Lime Juice
- 3 shots Dark Rum
- 2 oz. Sugar Syrup
- 4 cups Water
Combine ingredients
Method:
Pour into a tall glass of crushed ice, add a dash of Angostura and a sprinkle of nutmeg, garnish with a cherry and enjoy
