Origins of the Kayaks

People from Carriacou are mainly from African descent. There are some traces of the old amerindian tribes : the Taino, the Arawaks and the Caribs. Language on Carriacou is English, but a local patois is spoken as well. There are strong French influences in the L'Esterre zone.
