........ We had a successful Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday (International night - theme USA) was a great success, actually our guests said they never had expected such good food to come out of our kitchen... We had stuffed turkey with lovely gravy, stuffed fish (kouvali) with a lovely, creamy dillsauce, pumpkins, lobster salad, fried cabbage, pumpkin pai, etc. etc. This coming Thursday we're back to Mexican night, and this time we'll serve fish and chicken with Moulet (??? to the spelling) sauce among many other things... You're welcome, but please call and tell us you're coming so we know approximately how much food to prepare.
...........I have been totally alone as a cook in the kitchen this week-end due to several reasons. It was hard, 16-17 hours kitchen work is not really an easy job. Lots of pizzas, but other things selling as well. Not a fish-, nor a chicken bone left to sell this morning, so today was shopping day
..........Yesterday we had a Lebanese night in the restaurant. This is becoming very special for us, every Thursday we're having a country theme in the food. Last Thursday we had Thai food, before that a Mexican night. Great food thanks to Gilly and Connie who are helping me (Elin) with the cooking. As we now have proved we are good at it to ourselves and a few others, this will be an every week event, and we will start to make it 'public' for the rest of the island and hopefully many are like us ; craving for different food every now and then. It's hard to get the ingredients in Carriacou, and sometimes we have to be really innovative, but man, the food we make is NICE. Mostly vegetarian as none of us eat meat. Next Thursday we will have an Italian night with Nicola as guest cook,
